My Key Issues
Management of growth
If growth is going to occur, it must pay for itself. We’ve adjusted water and sewer capacity fees so that new customers pay for their impact. We are requiring developers to improve the local streets that they impact — and to contribute to improving existing traffic conditions. Any impact from future growth must be paid by the development, not by the existing residents.
Parks and Quality of Life
I am committed to preserving our “small town” atmosphere while enhancing our parks, green spaces, and events. Parks have always been important to me and I will continue to work to improve our parks and trails.
Jobs and Economic Development
I have worked hard to bring new, well-paying jobs to the City. We must continue our efforts to provide more job opportunities for our residents, while also diversifying our economy. Our uptown area is a great asset that we should continue to strengthen into a center for more shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
